Famous filmmaker Manish Gupta, whose films include ‘One Friday Night’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Section 375’, ‘Mystery’ and ‘420 IPC’, are currently stuck in a disputed case. Recently, he has been accused that he has attacked his own driver with a knife. Although Manish Gupta has not been arrested yet, the Mumbai Police has started investigating the matter.
An FIR has been lodged against Manish Gupta on 6 June. It is alleged that there was a dispute between the filmmaker and his driver Rajebul Lashkar over the salary, during which Manish attacked the driver with a knife. The injured driver is undergoing treatment. The driver’s lawyer Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh has demanded immediate arrest of Manish and said, “No one can be above the law.”
Allegations of making money
Amidst police investigation, Manish Gupta’s lawyer has given a statement that the allegations against Manish are false and baseless. He says that this matter is just a conspiracy to collect money. The lawyer said that there is also a criminal record of driver Rajebul, including cases like bank fraud. He said that strict action will be taken against fake FIRs and those who give wrong information.
Police investigation continues
Manish’s lawyer also told that Rajebul has made this false case with his friends and relatives so that Manish can recover money from. In this case, a case has been registered under Section 324 at Versova police station and investigation is on. So far no statement has been revealed from Manish Gupta.
