Kamal Haasan is stuck in controversies due to the things done about his language, but now he has expressed his opinion on imposing Hindi in the south. He spoke on the issue of imposing Hindi while promoting his new film “Thug Life”.

Kamal Haasan’s statement

Pan-India superstar Kamal Haasan’s new film “Thug Life” has come to theaters this week. But he said that Kannada language was born from Tamil, which caused a dispute. He refused to apologize, due to which the film was not released in Karnataka. Hassan said in a conversation with PTI, “I am a actor of the film for Ek Duje…”, which was his 1981 Hindi film, which had a story of a Tamil boy and a Hindi -speaking girl.

He said, “Don’t force, because we will learn without force. Learning is an education and we should learn it through easy path, do not get stuck on the way.” His state Tamil Nadu’s Ruling Party DMK has opposed three language policy under the National Education Policy. The party repeatedly accuses the BJP government of the Center of imposing Hindi, which has been misunderstood by the central government.

Kamal Haasan said that forcibly imposing a single language deteriorates the process of learning. He said, “I am with Punjab, I am with Karnataka, I am with Andhra. There is not just a place where Hindi is being opposed to imposing.”

He said, “If you really want to be successful at the international level, then you have to learn a language and English seems to be the best language. You can also learn Spanish or Chinese, but we have a 350-year history of English studies. So it is difficult to change it suddenly. Many people will not be able to learn to read and write, especially in Tamil Nadu. You will not impose Hindi and say that people will not think that I will not think about my language? Not one of the official languages? “

About ‘thug life’

The Karnataka film Chamber of Commerce had said that he would not allow the thug life to be released in Karnataka until Kamal Haasan apologizes for his Kannada-tamil comment. His production house Rajkamal Films filed a security petition in the Karnataka High Court. The court reprimanded and the producer said that the film will not be released in Karnataka.

The earnings of “thug life” were slow due to this controversy and negative review. The film has grossed just ₹ 30 crores in India in the first three days.
