The Ministry of Health made a mock drill in hospitals across the country to prevent the spread of Corona Virus. In this exercise, the availability of oxygen supply, ventilator, isolation beds and essential medicines was strongly tested.
In addition, review meetings were held with the states under the chairmanship of Dr. Sunita Sharma, Director General of Health, on June 2 and 3, in which the status and preparation of Corona Virus was reviewed. The central government has instructed all states to be vigilant and take necessary steps.
According to experts, Corona Virus is now coming out as an Endemic infection. This means that the virus is not completely over, but its cases will remain limited, light and place-specific. Most patients are now being treated at home.
Health officials are paying special attention to SARI (severe acute respiratory infections) and ILI (symptoms like influenza). All suspicious cases are being investigated and positive samples are being sent for genome sequencing to identify the new forms of the virus.
The World Health Organization (WHO) excluded Corona Virus from the category of global public health emergency in May 2023. It is now considered a normal seasonal infection. However, WHO has also said that vigilance is very important, as the virus still remains a threat.
The threat of Corona Virus is still not completely averted in India. An increase in the number of active cases makes it clear that it is necessary to be cautious and adopt prevention measures. The Central Government, State Administration and Health Department are constantly trying to stop the spread of Corona Virus.
We all have to take responsibility responsibly to protect against Corona Virus and follow the guidelines issued by experts and the government so that we can build a healthy and safe India.
