OTT platforms have indeed reshaped the definition of stardom. Well earlier it was believed that streaming platforms were just for unconventional actors. However today A-listers have too joined the digital game outshining all the boundaries and earning a staggering amount from web shows and movies. Today we will discuss about this Bollywood actor who has emerged as Indias highest-paid OTT star earning over Rs 100 crore from a single series. In 2021 he ventured into the digital space and charged a staggering Rs 125 crore for the seven-episode series- Rudra: Edge of Darkness. Yes he is none other than Ajay Devgn. Starring as a cop on the show he reportedly charged Rs 18 crore per episode the highest ever in the OTT space. According to reports his salary beats other Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan who charges Rs 90-100 crore for their films. Well Devgns fees was justified by the extended screen time as the series was equal to two feature-length films. Moreover he had an extended contract with Disney+ Hotstar which included cross-promotional activities social media campaigns and appearances on reality shows. Also Saif Ali Khan who became the first Bollywood actor to enter the OTT space with Sacred Games charged way less than Ajay. He was reportedly paid Rs 15-20 crore for the last season of Sacred Games. Moreover other Bollywood stars like Pankaj Tripathi Manoj Bajpayee Nawazuddin Siddiqui commanded their spots too on the list of Indias richest OTT stars. The rise of digital platforms have  given these actors to not just showcase their talent but also earn competitive paychecks. Meanwhile coming back to Ajay his last on-screen presence was in Raid 2. Moreover he has several projects in his pipeline including Son of Sardaar 2 De De Pyaar De 2 and Dhamaal 4.
