According to Znews, Their reported that on June 6, Chen shared images of herself undergoing cosmetic acupuncture treatment on her Weibo account. She explained that the procedure, which involved more than 100 needles inserted into her body, helps maintain youthful skin, control body weight, improve blood circulation, relieve back pain, whiten the skin, tighten pores, and lift the face.

While the actress emphasized that the treatment targets key acupuncture points to nourish the body, she acknowledged its extreme pain, saying most people would likely find it difficult to endure.

“The most painful areas are my back and legs,” she stated. “A friend of mine cried out loud during the treatment. I’m good with pain, so I managed to continue for a week.”

Despite the pain, Chen reported feeling the benefits of the treatment.

“My legs have been affected by an injury from filming, and I often experience leg numbness, so I wanted to treat it,” she shared. “After just two acupuncture sessions, I made a miraculous recovery and no longer feel any pain.”

Many social media users have expressed hesitation about the method due to the pain involved. Additionally, some users have questioned the scientific validity of the method’s claimed benefits.

“It looks so painful, but women will try anything for beauty,” one social media user commented.

“A skilled doctor would only need a few or a dozens of needles, but there are so many here,” another user expressed concern. “If the acupuncture points are wrong, it could lead to facial paralysis, which is very dangerous.”

At 46, Chen is widely regarded as the “Queen of Idol Dramas” for her starring roles in popular series such as “The Prince Who Turns Into a Frog,” “Fated to Love You,” and “The Queen of SOP.”

Last month, she was hospitalized for appendicitis after experiencing stomach pain and diarrhea following her attendance at Lady Gaga’s concert in Singapore.
