Lava is expanding its Storm series lineup in India with the launch of two new smartphones — the Lava Storm Play 5G and Lava Storm Lite 5G. The company has confirmed that both models will be unveiled on June 13 at 12am ISTwith availability on Amazon India and the Lava India E-store.

Lava Storm Play 5G and Storm Lite 5G specifications

The Lava Storm Play 5G is set to be the world’s first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC. It will support LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storagemaking it a performance-focused mid-range option. The Lava Storm Lite 5G, meanwhile, will be India’s first smartphone with the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipsetpositioning it as a budget-friendly 5G device with updated internals.

Both smartphones are teased to feature dual rear camera systemswith each model expected to sport a 50-megapixel primary sensor. Specific sensor details are yet to be confirmed.

Design teased via Amazon

The Storm Play 5G appears with a raised horizontal camera bar across the top rear panel — a design element reminiscent of the Pixel series. It features two vertically aligned camera sensors, an LED flash, and a blue colour finish.

The Storm Lite 5Gon the other hand, is shown in a golden colourway with a square-shaped camera island having rounded corners. The dual-camera setup and flash are housed neatly within the module.

Launch details

Lava has confirmed that both devices will go live on June 13with availability through Amazon and Lava’s official channels. With these launches, Lava continues its push into India’s competitive 5G smartphone market, bringing localized innovation with first-to-market chipsets.
