A heartbreaking murder has surfaced in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. In an OYO hotel room located in Poorna Pragya Layout, 36 -year -old married woman Harini was brutally murdered by her lover Yashas. Accused Yashas who is a 25 -year -old software engineer. Who stabbed Harini’s body 17 times with a knife. The incident took place late on the night of 6 June 2025, but it was revealed on June 8 after the police staff informed the police on June 8. Both Harini and Yashas were residents of Kengei area of Bangalore. According to the police, Harini was married and was the mother of two children. He had a love affair with Yashas for some time. Which was causing stress in his family life. DCP (South) Lokesh B. Jagalasar told that Harini wanted to end this relationship and was keeping distance from Yashs. Angered by this, Yashs killed him. Both met at Oyo Hotel on Friday night. Where there was a debate about the relationship. Angry Yashas attacked Harini 17 times with a knife. Due to which he died on the spot.
The hotel staff informed the police after seeing Harini’s body on Sunday. Subramanpura police reached the spot and took the body and started investigation. CCTV footage and preliminary investigation revealed that Yashas tried to escape from the hotel after Harini’s murder but the police arrested him. DCP Lokesh said, ‘The accused has confessed to the murder. We are investigating the exact purpose behind the murder. The police have also found blood stained knives and other evidence from the hotel room. Police investigation revealed that Harini and Yashas met at a fair. Where their friendship started. This friendship gradually turned into a love affair, but after Harini’s husband got a glimpse of this relationship, tension in his family increased.
