star Theo Burrell has issued an emotional cancer update as she marks a milestone achievement in her cancer journey. On Saturday (June 7), the 38-year-old antiques expert took to Instagram to share a lengthy video about her experience with the deadly disease so far.

Despite fighting a grueling battle against the illness, she confessed that she didn't think she would have made it this far after she received her terminal diagnosis in 2022 at the age of just 35. She was found to have a grade 4 glioblastoma following symptoms of nausea and headaches for six months in 2021. The Antiques Roadshow expert has been a popular feature of the team since joining them in 2018 and has been providing fans with updates about her progress.

As she marked the three-year anniversary since her diagnosis the star revealed she is halfway through a 12-month course of chemotherapy.

She explained: "I had a recurrence of my tumour cells in autumn last year and I restarted chemotherapy in December, so I'm six months or six cycles into my therapy with another six cycles still to go, and I am extremely tired.

"The last few months I have been laying extremely low, sleeping a lot and doing very small tasks like little things in the house or a little bit of gardening here and there and catching up with friends. But nothing major, just so that I can look after my own health.

"I did not think three years ago that I'd still be sitting here, relatively well, living my life, seeing my son grow up and marking various milestones like friends' birthdays, anniversaries, and getting to enjoy my charity work, and just making memories with friends and family."

Theo went on to add hoe hope has been a huge part in keeping her strong and motivated throughout her health battle. She went on: ""For me, Having hope has been really important in my journey because there have been times when I have felt hopeless.

"But I have managed to regain that hope and living day to day has been so important, trying not to worry too much about the future and just focusing on what I'm doing that day."

Providing a further update, she revealed that she has got a brain scan coming up but remains positive that her course of treatment will improve her condition.

The expert revealed: "I've got a scan on Monday and then the results will follow, and of course, the anxiety always builds around a scan. I've just got to keep my fingers crossed that things are continuing to work with my medication and my chemotherapy."

It didn't take long before fans flooded to the comments to pass on their well wishes about the inspirational star online.

One user penned: "Theo, your strength, honesty and hope shine through ever word. We are so grateful for everything you do as our Patron at @brain_tumour_research raising awareness, championing research and supporting others while navigating your own incredibly tough journey."

Another agreed: "Inspirational!!!!! Lots of love to you" as a third gushed: "Still cheering you on and sending love." A third echoed: "Beautiful, inspirint post Theo, your positivity and hope are wonderful. I wish you well for your scan and hoping its positive too."
