A shocking case of cyber fraud has come to light in Nawada, Bihar, where a company named ‘All India Pregnant Job’ allegedly duped people with a bizarre and offensive job offer. The firm reportedly promised Rs 5 lakh to those willing to make women pregnant, raising serious concerns over online exploitation and public gullibility.

The fraudulent scheme involved placing misleading advertisements on social media, featuring women and falsely claiming that those who agreed to make them pregnant would be rewarded with Rs 5 lakh.

This deceptive offer attracted unemployed youths and students, who saw it as an easy opportunity to earn money. However, those who contacted the company were tricked into paying various fees for registration, documentation, and other fabricated reasons.

The scam was sophisticated, with the company masquerading as a social service organisation helping women unable to conceive. Most of the victims were young and unemployed.

The police were alerted to the fraud, and under the direction of SP Abhinav Dhiman, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Cyber DSP Priya Jyoti was formed. The team managed to apprehend four individuals, including the main accused, Rajesh Kumar, a 26-year-old resident of Kunj village in the Roh police station area. Three minors, who included two teenagers aged 16 and 17, were also detained.
The police recovered five mobile phones and a keypad from the accused and have registered a case under various sections at the cyber police station. The investigation is ongoing.

Following the arrests, it also came to light that the fraud extended beyond the so-called ‘All India Pregnancy Job’. The group had also duped people by offering fake part-time and full-time jobs in reputed telecom companies, claiming opportunities in 5 G-related roles to lure unsuspecting victims.

Advertisements were issued inviting CVs, promising work-from-home opportunities with earnings ranging from Rs 22,500 to Rs 75,500. Attracted by the lure of high income, many youth, women, students, and unemployed individuals fell into the trap. The scammers extracted thousands of rupees under the pretext of registration fees, processing charges, and security deposits for mobile phones and laptops.
