To apply for these posts, you must have a master's degree in Hindi from a recognized university. Also, both English and Hindi should be studied as compulsory or optional subjects. If you have done any diploma or certificate course in translation in Hindi or English, then that will also work.
Age Limit
As far as the age limit is concerned, your age should be between 18 to 30 years as of 1 August 2025. That is, people born before 2 August 1995 and after 1 August 2007 cannot apply. SC / ST will get 5 years, OBC 3 years, and PwD will get 10 years of relaxation.
SSC CHT Jobs 2025 Salary: How much salary will you get?
If you get selected, you will get a very good salary. For posts like Junior Hindi Translator (JHT), Junior Translator (JT), and Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator), your salary will be from Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 every month. For Senior Hindi Translator (SHT) and Senior Translator (ST) posts, the salary will be from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400 every month. Along with this, allowances like HRA, DA, and TA will also be available, which will depend on the location of your posting.
SSC CHT Exam 2025: How will the exam be conducted?
The selection process for this recruitment has three steps:
1. Paper-1 (Computer Based Test):
- This will be an objective type exam.
- It will have 100-100 questions in General Hindi and General English, a total of 200 marks.
– Time: 2 hours (2 hours 40 minutes for VH/OH candidates).
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
2. Paper-2 (Descriptive Test):
- This will be a descriptive paper, in which translation and essay will have to be written.
- Total will be 200 marks.
- Time: 2 hours (2 hours 40 minutes for VH/OH candidates).
3. Document Verification and Medical Test:
- After qualifying both papers, your documents will be checked and a medical test will be conducted.
Exam Date: Paper 1 will be on 12 August 2025.
How much will be the fee?
- General, OBC, EWS: Rs 100.
- SC, ST, PwD, Ex-Serviceman, and Women Candidates: Free.
The fee has to be deposited through online mode (net banking, debit/credit card, BHIM UPI).
