Gandhi, 78, had earlier sought medical attention at the Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital in Shimla, where she was staying for a personal visit. Doctors there reported that while her blood pressure was elevated, her overall condition remained stable. Dr. Aman, Deputy Medical Superintendent at IGMC, had confirmed that all vital parameters were under control during her evaluation on Saturday.
Following that incident, Gandhi traveled back to the capital for further assessment. Hospital sources confirmed she underwent additional diagnostic tests at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. No official statement has been issued by the Congress party regarding her current health status.
This is not the first time the senior leader has been treated at SGRH. In February, she was briefly admitted to the same hospital and kept under observation by a team of specialists for routine evaluation.
Gandhi, who remains an influential figure in Indian politics, continues to receive close medical monitoring due to her age and recurring health concerns.
