Netflix has dropped the trailer for a star-studded romcom with fans echoing a similar sentiment about the forthcoming show.
Too Much features comedian and Hacks star Megan Stalter as Jessica, a New York workaholic reeling from a gut-wrenching split with whom she thought was The One.
To mend her broken heart, Jessica embarks on a new job in London, there encountering musician Felix (portrayed by Will Sharpe).
He's no Prince Charming, but their palpable connection is undeniable despite the ensuing complications.
The producers behind Love Actually and Notting Hill bring us the freshly released official trailer for Too Much, sharing that it will premiere on Thursday, July 10th, on .
But viewers quickly flocked to YouTube's comment section to critique the previewed content.
"Too much indeed," quipped one user, another declared: "I'm cancelling my subscription, nothing worth watching."
A further disenchanted viewer said: "I thought the point of a trailer was to get people to WANT to watch your show?!"
An additional unimpressed commenter opined: "Good god this looks horrid and the main character is immensely unlikable. Congrats on making a show that looks unwatchable", while another added: "Wow that trailer was obnoxious."
Amidst various points of critique, one particular snippet from the trailer has especially caught the eye of Netflix users.
In a bold moment during the teaser, actor Sharpe's character is seen spitting into Stalter's mouth, spurring discomfort among the audience.
Someone posted: "That spitting scene is not gonna leave me for a while now". Several others concurred, with one stating: "Spitting scene in a trailer? Too much indeed."
Another viewer expressed: "The spitting really caught me off guard OMG". Meanwhile, one more felt compelled to ask: "What's up with the spitting in the mouth?!"
