New Delhi: HBO Max is coming out with its own Harry Potter iteration and ever since it was announced fans have been reeling with excitement.
The patience of the fans was finally rewarded recently when images of the main cast members, Ron, Hermione and Harry were released. Now more additions to the cast have been announced.
Based on the books of author JK Rowling, HBO Max is coming out with its own version of Harry Potter as a TV series. Initially the case was announced of who would be playing the roles of Harry, Ron and Hermione earlier played by Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson respectively.
HBO recently shared a picture of the new young lead cast saying, “Dear Mr. Potter, Miss Granger, and Mr. Weasley: We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please welcome Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley to the HBO Original Series Harry Potter.”
Now new additions have also been made to the cast. For one, Bertie Carvel, the actor who has played the role of Tony Blair in The Crown, will be the new Cornelius Fudge. Actor Leo Earley will be seen playing the role of Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni of Parvati Patil and Sienna Moosah of Lavender Brown.
Further veteran actor John Lithgow will play the role of Professor Dumbledore, Nick Frost of Hagrid and finally Paapa Essiedu will be seen in the role of Severus Snape.
Earlier reported by the news publication The Wrapthe upcoming series will see showrunner and executive producer Francesca Gardiner and director and executive producer Mark Mylod, leading the team. Casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann are reportedly responsible for selecting the new cast, one that has big shoes to fill.
