New Delhi. The use of battery is not hidden from anyone in today’s time. From car to smartphone, battery is used in many items, although there is still a need for cheap and safe batteries, which are different from Lithium-ion batteries. Indian scientists have shown a feat to meet this need.

In Bengaluru, the scientist has prepared a special material for the battery and has said that this Lithium-ion can prove to be a powerful option of the battery.

There will be a charge up to 80% in 6 minutes
Researcher of Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientic Research (JNCASR) has prepared Super Fast charging Sodium-ion Battery (SIB). According to the information, this battery is charged up to 80 % in just 6 minutes.

Slow charging will be removed
SIB type battery usually works for slow charging and for a very short time. But these flaws have been removed in sodium based new type battery. In this, there is a unique match of chemistry and nenotechnology.

The research team was commanded by Professor Prem Kumar Senguttuvan and he was supported by Ph.D Scholar Biplap Patra. The researcher has designed the Novel Material, in which anode na₁.₀.₂₅al₀.₂₅nb₁.₅ (PO₄) ₃ and optimized it in three ways, in which the first particle was shortened on Nanoscale and in the second stage they were wrapped with thin carbon coat.

Under the third stage, a small amount of aluminum has been mixed to improve the anode material. After this process, sodium-ion fast and safe methods work. It also provides better durability.

Sodium is present on a large scale in India
For your information here, let us tell you that sodium is a cheap and on a large scale in India. At the same time, lithium has to be imported on a large scale. With the help of sodium ion battery, India can become self -sufficient in the battery sector.

Testing is done
Sodium ion battery has been tested and it has also been validated. Sodium ion based battery not only supports fast charging, but it also stays away from fire. Before coming to the market, more development is needed on it.
