New Delhi: One of Mumbai’s most eagerly awaited celebrity homes has finally been completed. A six-storey structure, the Krishna Raj Mansion, owned by Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, has been built in the upscale Pali Hill neighbourhood and is reportedly valued at an astounding Rs 250 crore. With this, it has been placed above Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic Mannat in terms of estimated worth.
Designed as a tribute to Ranbir’s rich family heritage, the mansion has been constructed on land originally owned by his grandparents, Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor. The property was later inherited by Rishi and Neetu Kapoor in the 1980s, and is now registered in the name of the couple’s daughter, Raha Kapoor, according to reports.
A visual confirmation of the mansion’s completion was shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani, who posted a video of the grey-hued façade on social media. In the clip, lush rooftop gardens and potted plants were seen adorning the property. “New beginnings in a dream home! Alia & Ranbir’s love nest is finally ready,” the caption read.
The mansion’s interiors have been said to combine heritage-inspired motifs with sleek, modern aesthetics. Vine-covered balconies and green terraces lend the property a serene ambience, while inside, the couple has reportedly overseen every intricate detail. For years, Ranbir, Alia, and Neetu Kapoor have been deeply involved in the design process, frequently coordinating with architects to bring their vision to life.
An insider, cited by Hindustan Times, disclosed that the final phase of work is underway. “The ongoing work on their bungalow is almost done, with the finishing going on, which should take one month or so. After the work is done and they get a green signal, the couple will move into the place. It is the moment they have been looking forward to,” the source shared.
Further, it was mentioned that this year’s Diwali is likely to be celebrated by the family in their new residence. “The bungalow holds an emotional significance to the family, which is why everyone is so involved in the construction. Ranbir and Alia have made sure they take out time from their busy schedule and check the work status,” the insider added.
On the work front, the couple will next be seen together in Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, while Ranbir is slated to appear in Ramayana, Animal Park, and Dhoom 4.
