In such a situation, UIDAI has given relief to the common people and given them a chance to update their Aadhaar for free. If there is any old or wrong information on your Aadhaar card, then till June 14, 2025, you can update it without paying any charge.

This facility was also given earlier, whose last date was kept as 14 December 2024. But later it has been extended to 14 June 2025.

After June 14, you will have to pay this charge
This means that there are still a few days left when you can update your Aadhaar card for free. If you update Aadhaar after this deadline, then a charge of Rs 50 will have to be paid for it. This charge will also be applicable on the myAadhaar portal for online updates.

Apart from this, if you want to update information like biometrics or photos, then for this you will have to go to the Aadhaar Seva Kendra.

How to update Aadhaar online?
If you want to update the name, address, or other information in your Aadhaar card online (Aadhaar card Update online), then for this you do not need to go anywhere. You can do this work sitting at home by visiting UIDAI's website https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in. Let's know its easy steps...

First of all, log in to the website, enter your Aadhaar number and captcha, and log in with the help of OTP. Now

Click on the option of 'Document Update' and select the information to be updated.

Upload all the necessary documents and submit the form.

As soon as you submit, you will get a Service Request Number (URN), through which you can track the update status.

Important for those with 10 years old Aadhaar

UIDAI has recently given important information. If your Aadhaar card is 10 years old, then you should get it updated. This update can also be done for free till June 14, 2025 (Free Aadhaar update).
