Cricket News Desk. Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly has expressed displeasure over not being included in the team for Shreyas Iyer for the upcoming Test series against England. Ajit Agarkar -led selection committee did not give Iyer a place in the team. Ganguly believes that Iyer has performed brilliantly in the last one year and should have been selected in the Test team based on this performance. The Indian team will play a 5 -match Test series in England from 20 June.

Sourav Ganguly said that he will definitely give Shreyas Iyer a chance in this series. Former Indian captain Ganguly said in an interview to Revspports, ‘Shreyas Iyer has shown a great game in the last one year. He is scoring runs under pressure, taking responsibility and also playing short balls well. Even though Test cricket is different, but I will definitely give them a chance in this series.

Asked if he can help India win the series, Sourav Ganguly said, “Yes, of course.” “We only need two things, good batting and fit of Bumrah. We won in Australia, with young batting order in Melbourne, which did not have Kohli or Rohit Sharma.
