Bank holiday June 2025: Bank will remain closed for so many days between 14 and 29 June, know on which festivals RBI has given leave!

New Delhi:If you have any necessary work work, then settle it before 14 June, because the banks are going to be closed for several days during the second fortnight (14 to 29 June) of June 2025. According to the list of holidays issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will not be open during this period due to festivals and weekends in various states. The number and dates of holidays depend on states and regional festivals.

Bank holiday list in June 2025 (from 14 June to 29 June):

  • June 14, 2025 (Saturday): Due to the second Saturday, banks will remain closed.

  • June 15, 2025 (Sunday): Weekly holiday.

  • June 17, 2025 (Tuesday): Bakra-Eid/Eid al-Azha-Banks will remain closed in many states (for example: Kerala, Mumbai, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh).

  • June 22, 2025 (Saturday): Banks will remain closed due to the fourth Saturday.

  • June 23, 2025 (Sunday): Weekly holiday.

  • June 26, 2025 (Thursday): Maharana Pratap Jayanti (Holiday in some states).

  • June 28, 2025 (Saturday): Banks will remain closed due to fourth Saturday.

  • June 29, 2025 (Sunday): Weekly holiday.

Holidays set by RBI:

RBI divides the holidays into three categories:

  1. Holidays under Negocable Instruments Act: These holidays are celebrated across the country, but some regional festivals are applicable in special states.

  2. Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) Holiday: They include holidays when RTGS services are also closed.

  3. Holidays to close banks account: For the end of the financial year or other important accounting periods.

Therefore, it is advisable that before going to the bank, check the holiday list of the respective state or the holiday on the official website of your bank so that inconvenience can be avoided. Online banking, mobile banking and ATM services will be available during this period.
