Up news: The Greater Noida Authority of Uttar Pradesh has intensified the campaign to remove encroachments from the sectors and markets of the city. Especially preparations have been made for strict action against those who occupy the green belt. Authority CEO Ravi Kumar NG has instructed the concerned departments to initiate action within seven days.
According to officials, many people have captured the green belt in front of the houses. Somewhere the trees have been cut and parks have been made, then a private parking has been made by fencing. Ramps have been made up to the road in front of some houses, due to which the sewer manholes have been closed and the problem of filling water in the rain increases. These illegal constructions will now be removed from bulldozers and the help of police will also be taken if needed.
Markets of Greater Noida, markets like Rampur, Amritpuram and Tughlapur will also be freed. Wherever the hawkers are being installed illegally in markets and sectors, they will be removed. This campaign has started in Sector Alpha-2. Officials say that the problem of jam is increasing due to roadside encroachment. This not only disrupts traffic, but local residents also have to face trouble.
In view of the increasing occupation on the pavements, the authority is now preparing to vacate them too. It becomes difficult to walk in the evening in sectors like gamma, beta, delta. In many places, street vendors have captured in front of permanent shops. Now the team of Urban Services Department will remove such encroachments with the police.
Under the authority’s scheme, illegal occupations will be identified first by survey and then action will be taken in a phased manner. The officials of the concerned work circle will be entrusted with the responsibility so that there is no negligence in the campaign.
The authority has appealed to the citizens not to occupy any kind of green belts and public places, so that the beauty and order of the city remains.
