Air India Plane Crash: The Gujarat Anti -Terrorism Squad (ATS) received a digital video recorder (DVR) from the debris of Air India aircraft accident in Ahmedabad on Friday. An ATS official said that it has been taken immediately and a forensic team has been called for scientific investigation. He said, “The FSL team is coming here soon.”
DVR, which is considered part of the black box, may contain videos of the final moments of the flight, CCTV footage or cockpit recording.
The DVR can clearly show what the cockpit or what was happening around the accident. Every videography data here can be helpful in understanding the reason for the accident.
Digital video recorders, flight data recorders (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Records (CVR) work. The FDR records technical data (eg speed, height), CVR conversations, while the DVR video shows the position of viewing, pilot’s actions and dashboard alerts.
In modern aircraft it is added through cameras inside or outside the cockpit. This device is also able to remain safe even in dangers like shocks or fire.
Visual Assistant: The help of the video shows what the pilot saw and what decided.
Data Confirmation: The FDR and CVR visually support the data.
Mistake and omission identification: The pilot was disoriented or there was a malfunction in any equipment, it shows DVR.
If there was a warning alert but ignored, it will also come forward.
Safety Reforms: This data gives significant support in suggesting the necessary changes to prevent such incidents in future.
DVR does not just give technical information, but it shows every visual process of accident. This is a certified evidence for investigation, which can be helpful in understanding the real causes of the accident and taking better security steps next time.
