Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said that currently a western disturbance is active in the middle troposphere, while in the lower troposphere, the effect of easterly winds is increasing due to the trough line extending from Rajasthan to Marathwada. Although no effective monsoon system is active, sporadic rainfall activities have started in many parts of the state, which may intensify from June 15. The Meteorological Department has forecast that there is a possibility of heavy rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh from June 17 and in western Uttar Pradesh from June 19.
Today, on June 13, a drop in temperature has been recorded in most parts of the state except Agra and Mainpuri. Due to this, it is not technically considered a heat wave situation. However, due to high humidity levels, the maximum and minimum temperatures remain above normal, due to which the effect of heat and humidity will be felt for 1-2 more days especially in other areas except the Terai areas. The Meteorological Department has also clarified that there is a possibility of a clear decrease in heat wave conditions after June 14, which may give some relief to the people.
