Weather Update- School holidays extended in Uttar Pradesh due to heat, know full details

By Jitendra Jangid- Friends, as we told you through our article that North India is facing severe heat, which has also started affecting education, in view of the scorching heat, the school holidays in Uttar Pradesh have been extended by 15 more days, the Yogi Adityanath government has extended the summer holidays in all government primary schools by 15 more days, due to which the schools will remain closed till June 30. This decision has been taken to protect children from health risks caused by the current heat across the state.

Previous schedule: Government primary schools were earlier closed from May 20 to June 15, and classes were scheduled to resume on June 16.

New schedule: Now schools will reopen on July 1, giving students a long holiday due to the scorching heat.

Teachers' concerns: Teachers had raised concerns about reopening schools, highlighting the risk of children falling ill in the scorching heat, and many supported a delay in reopening until July 1.

Private schools: Most private schools in the state are already on vacation until June 30.

Uttar Pradesh is currently witnessing a unique weather pattern, with parts of the state experiencing intense heat while others are experiencing heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Rainfall: Heavy rains lashed 13 districts on Friday, including Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Farrukhabad, Amroha, Basti, Ballia and Bijnor.

Heat wave taking lives

Despite rains in some areas, most parts of Uttar Pradesh remain on a heatwave alert, with temperatures crossing 40 degrees Celsius in 30 districts on Thursday.
