The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed late Saturday night that a fresh wave of missiles has been launched toward Israeli territory, intensifying the ongoing military conflict with Iran. A spokesperson for the IDF stated that “the attack is ongoing,” and confirmed that dozens of additional missiles were fired at Israel within the past hour.
“The Aerial Defense Array is currently identifying and intercepting launches,” the spokesperson said, urging citizens to strictly follow the instructions issued by the Home Front Command and not to share videos or locations of strikes, in order to maintain operational security. The IDF further clarified that the explosions heard across Israeli cities like Tel Aviv are a result of air defense interceptions or impact of projectiles.
This escalation follows earlier Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear and military targets in Isfahan and Natanz, which reportedly destroyed critical infrastructure linked to uranium enrichment. Iran retaliated by launching a series of ballistic missile attacks, some of which were aired live by Iranian state television.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Tehran has also come under attackthough the scale and origin of the assault remain unclear at this time. Meanwhile, sirens continue to blare across Israel as emergency protocols remain active.
Authorities have reiterated that the situation remains extremely volatile and that public safety instructions must be followed closely.
Further updates are awaited as the air defense forces continue to engage incoming threats.
