This film’s success not only gave a major boost to Shatrughan’s career but also established Subhash Ghai’s in Bollywood. After receiving massive success as a director Ghai went on to deliver hits including Vishwanath Gautam Govinda Karz Krodhi Hero Vidhaata Karma Ram Lakhan Saudagar Khalnayak Yaadein Yuvvraaj Black & White and Kaanchi. These movies not only performed well at the box office but also gave identities to their lead actors. Madhuri Dixit’s Godfather After Madhuri’s debut film Abodh she faced a series of flops. After these setbacks Subhash Ghai chose to give her another opportunity and reintroduced her in Ram Lakhan which turned out to be a huge hit and gave her a strong identity.
