The Prime Minister should now consider his Foreign Minister’s frequent mistakes: Kharge

New Delhi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi have targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over foreign policy. He has shared a post on social media X, in which he wrote that, now it is becoming clear that there are disturbances in our foreign policy. Perhaps, Prime Minister Modi should now consider the frequent mistakes made by his Foreign Minister and decide some accountability.

149 countries voted in favor of UNGA’s proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza. India was one of the 19 countries that did not participate in voting. With this step, we are virtually isolated. On 8 October 2023, the Indian National Congress condemned the cruel attacks carried out by Hamas on the people of Israel. We have constantly condemned indiscriminate actions, including the siege and bombing of the Gaza Strip. 60,000 people have been killed and a broad and frightening human crisis.

He further wrote, have we abandoned India’s constant stance advocating ceasefire, peace and dialogue in the Middle East and West Asia? This attitude lies deeply in our long -term tradition of non -alignment and moral diplomacy, through which India has always supported justice and peace in international conflicts. Only on 19 October 2023, the Indian National Congress immediately called for the providing human assistance to the crisis of the ceasefire and Gaza. When the region is facing severe violence, human havoc and increasing instability, India cannot stand silently or passively.
