Ahmedabad aircraft accident: On 12 June 2025, Air India flight AI-171, which was flying to London from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, crashed. In this accident, 2 pilots, 10 crew members and 241 passengers lost their lives, causing a wave of mourning across the country. The dead also included Anju Sharma (55) of Vadodara, who was going to London to meet her elder daughter Nimmi. This incident has put Anju’s family in deep grief.

This status has become a emotional memory for his family and friends. Anju lived with her younger daughter Honey in Vadodara. Her husband had passed away a few years ago, and she was a strong support for her daughters.
Anju’s elder daughter Nimmi, who lives in London, had made special plans to welcome her mother. Nimmi said, “Mummy was coming to London, but now we had to come to Vadodara.” This accident has put him in deep shock. He raised serious questions on the security of Air India, saying that ‘Air India uses old Boeing aircraft, why not buy new?’ She also said that she will never travel from Air India.
Anju’s younger daughter Honey said, ‘The house is deserted without mother. His departure is a great shock for us. Honey described her mother as a loving and strong woman, who always kept the family united. Honey’s DNA sample has been taken to identify Anju, and the family is preparing for his last action.
Anju was the sister of film actor Milan Sharma. His ancestral village is Ram Sharan Majra of Kurukshetra district of Haryana. Anju’s uncle said that Anju was the support of our family. His parents have not been told about this sad news.
