New Rule For Waiting Ticket: Now the Railways is going to change the rules of waiting tickets. Passengers will now know the status of the waiting ticket, not 4 hours but this many hours in advance.

New Rule for Waiting Tickets: Millions of people travel by train in Indian Railways. Thousands of trains are run by the Railways for these passengers. Most of the passengers traveling by train prefer to travel only after making a reservation. There is less crowd of passengers in the reservation coach. Everyone gets their seat. And many facilities are also available.

But many times the ticket is not confirmed after making reservation. Tickets of many passengers go into waiting. After this, passengers keep waiting for their tickets to be confirmed. And ticket confirmation is available after the final chart of the train is made i.e. 4 hours before the train departs. But now the Railways is going to change this rule. Now the status of waiting ticket will be known so many hours in advance.

Status of waiting ticket will be known 24 hours in advance

At present, passengers traveling by train get to know the status of their waiting ticket 4 hours before the train departs. Due to this, many passengers do not get a chance to choose an alternate option. Because if it is known in advance whether the ticket is confirmed or not, then the passenger can choose the option of traveling by bus or other means.

In view of this, the Railways has now decided to change this rule. According to the information received from the Indian Railways, now the passengers will be informed about their waiting ticket 24 hours in advance instead of 4 hours in advance. This will give the passengers enough time to choose another option of travel.

The trial has been completed

Let us tell you that recently this new rule has been started as a pilot project on Bikaner Railway Division, which has been completely successful. Now soon this rule will be implemented in the rest of the country as well. However, no information has been officially shared by the railways about when this new rule will be implemented. But the Railway Minister said that soon this rule will be implemented on many major rail routes of the country including Delhi, Mumbai.
