Emmerdale's Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) is set to cause a stir when he mysteriously disappears from the village next week. Recently, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) has been expressing concern over his father Bear's escalating erratic behaviour.

Among Bear's antics are keeping Paddy and his wife Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) awake with loud television and leaving his sleeping pills within reach of young Eve.

Although Eve didn't ingest any of the medication, Paddy was left seething at Bear's carelessness.

Despite the difficulties, Paddy tried to appease his father by gifting him an old motorbike to repair. However, Paddy's patience wears thin when bike parts start cluttering their home.

In a bid to keep Tenant's Cottage tidy, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) allows Bear to use the car garage for his restoration project, much to Bear's delight.

But Bear's happiness quickly turns to rage as he loses his temper while working on the bike, lashing out at mechanic Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah). Fortunately, Paddy witnesses the altercation, reports

Later, to the astonishment of both Paddy and Mandy, Bear waltzes back home as if nothing happened, sparking concerns about his recent odd behaviour.

The duo promptly grills him, trying to get to the bottom of his outburst, but Bear just heads upstairs, evading the questions.

Mandy encourages Paddy to tackle his troubling concerns about his father directly, only for Paddy to discover that both Bear and his beloved motorbike have vanished into thin air. Where could Bear possibly be?

Joshua Richards, who portrays the soap's character Bear, has teased tensions rising due to the character's increasingly unpredictable conduct.

During a press event, he divulged: "He alters somewhat, he's not too good here (pointing to his head) for some reason which we don't know why.

"He's being slightly erratic emotionally and with his mood swings. There's periods of forgetfulness and the kind of things that happen with a man of his age."

Moreover, he revealed: "There is a change there and there will be more of a stripped back Bear. Emotionally, he will be put through the ringer."

Witnessing such a transformation, Richards anticipates a significant narrative twist for Bear, admitting: "So, I think there's something big coming up for him which I'm really looking forward to. For anybody who is lucky enough to work on this wonderful thing, when you get a nice juicy storyline, it is so fulfilling."
