Although there were reports in Turkish media of a Napoli offer for Al-Nassr striker Jhon Duran, but he is not on their list due to the high costs.

The suggestion emerged earlier today that Fenerbahce and Napoli were pushing to sign the former Aston Villa centre-forward this summer.

While the player is admired by these clubs, and few can argue with that, the fact remains the cost of the operation makes it completely untenable.

Duran has an outlandish price tag

Al-Nassr just paid €77m plus bonuses to buy the Colombia international from Aston Villa barely six months ago and that included a contract worth €10m per season plus add-ons.

That makes it extraordinarily difficult for any club to make that move, so Napoli are looking at very different targets to Duran.

The centre-forward is only 21 years of age and has three goals in 16 senior caps for Colombia.

He earned the move to the Saudi Pro League thanks to 12 goals in 29 competitive appearances for Aston Villa this season.
