Gujrat: A 26-year-old TikToker, Muqadar Abbas, was shot dead in cold blood near Pejoki village, close to Bhagowal Kalan, on Saturday evening. According to the Police, unknown assailants on a motorbike opened fire on Muqadar while he was riding his motorcycle.

Eyewitness accounts and rescue officials confirmed that the young man sustained three bullet wounds, two to the abdomen and one to the left eye. The injuries proved fatal, and he died on the spot before any medical aid could be administered.

The deceased, a resident of Rehan Sharif village, was a known presence on social media platforms, particularly TikTok. His online activity is now under scrutiny by police as a possible motive in the targeted attack.

SP Investigation Gujrat Riaz Naz, DSP Sadar Circle Ghazi Asif Baig, and SHO Sadar Police Station Shafqat Butt arrived at the crime scene shortly after the incident and have launched an investigation. The Rescue 1122 team responded within three minutes of the emergency call and remained on site for post-incident support

Speaking to Read, SP Riaz Naz said that initial evidence has been collected, and multiple police teams have been formed to track down the suspects. “The culprits will soon be in police custody,” he assured.

The murder has sparked concern among locals, particularly the youth active on social media, as Muqadar was a known figure on TikTok. Police are also exploring possible motives linked to his online activity.

So far, no suspects have been arrested. Police say they are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas and are recording statements from locals. The brutal killing has sent shockwaves across the district, with many demanding swift justice.
