You must have seen many celebrities turning into entrepreneurs trying to make their mark beyond the silver screen. Actress Nupur Sanon Kriti Sanons sister is currently in the spotlight not for her films but for her fashion brand Label Nobo. Launched last year the label is grabbing attention but not all of it is positive.
Nupur who made her acting debut alongside Akshay Kumar in the music video Filhall was last seen in the Telugu film Tiger Nageswara Rao (2023) and is set to appear in her first Hindi film Noorani Chehra. Yet her clothing line has sparked major chatter online — and not for the reasons she might have hoped.
Recently Label Nobo came under fire after users on social media called out the pricing of the clothes. While the designs have been described as “basic” by several fashion-watchers the price tags have raised eyebrows. One user shared a screenshot showing a simple maxi dress priced at Rs 10700 and an asymmetrical outfit at Rs 10900. Another shocked shopper pointed to a basic jumpsuit listed at Rs 11000 while a traditional suit sold for a steep Rs 36000.
Take a look at it here
The ridiculous price points of Nupur Sanons ( Kritis sister) clothing line called Label Nobo. Doesnt explain why such basic cloths are sold and such high price points. Is it money laundering of some sort ( scamming buyers)?

Netizens didnt hold back. “This is daylight robbery” one person commented. Another asked sarcastically “Is this some kind of money laundering?” A few accused Nupur of leveraging Kriti Sanon’s fame to sell overpriced garments.
Instead of impressing buyers it seems the brand’s attempt at luxury has backfired — at least online. Many of the social media users expressed their disappointment and said that the pricing lacks justification and reflects poor brand positioning.
For those of you who don’t know Nupur’s elder sister Kriti Sanon also ventured into business with her skincare line Hyphen which has received a comparatively warmer response. Whether Label Nobo manages to turn around public perception or fades into the crowd of celebrity brands remains to be seen.
For now Nupur Sanon’s entrepreneurial debut is making headlines — but not in the way she likely intended.
