Palak Tiwari , daughter of popular actress Shweta Tiwari , recently opened up about her mother’s much-admired fitness and how it often leaves even Shweta amused. In an interview with Mashable India, Palak revealed, “My mom is most shocked when people talk about her fitness. My mom doesn’t go to the gym, doesn’t do anything. She doesn’t do anything to take care of herself. She is like, ‘I don’t know why people keep saying such things.’”

Unlike her mother, Palak admits that staying fit requires conscious effort for her. “I go to the gym, I am not as blessed as my mom. I work out five days a week. I do cardio,” she shared.

Beyond fitness, Palak also spoke about the immense strength and support she receives from her mother. She said, “My mom being an overachiever takes the pressure off me. In my family, we have the heritage of strong women. My nani, then my mom, and all the elder women in the family are overachievers. My nani was a clerk at a law office. She was very intelligent. When my mom wanted to pursue acting, everyone was against her but my nani supported her. That reduces the pressure. My mother was raised by a strong woman and my mom is a strong woman. So, I knew no matter what I do, I will have my mother’s backing.”

Adding a fun childhood memory, Palak recalled, “My mom’s eyes are enough to scare me. She only slapped me once. I was very fussy about eating. One time, instead of drinking my Bournvita, I let our dog Tobby lick it. My mom slapped me hard, but that was the first and last time. She was scared of her nail extension and Tobby also got stressed.”

Palak Tiwari is making her mark in Bollywood with films and music videos, while her mother Shweta Tiwari is a celebrated television actress known for iconic shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. Both continue to shine in their respective careers, earning admiration across generations.
