Black profile picture is usually a symbol of expressing deep sorrow and condolences. Air India has taken this step to express condolences to the victims of the accident.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed deep grief over this painful incident. He said, “It is a heartbreaking event beyond words. My condolences are with all the people in this sad hour. I am in touch with ministers and officials who are working to help the affected people.” The Prime Minister’s statement is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
According to the information received, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft took off the runway of Ahmedabad Airport from 23 to 1:39 pm. Within 5 minutes of flying, the back part of the aircraft collided with a tree and fell on the building of BJ Medical College hostel. The flight had a total of 242 passengers, including crew members.

Soon after the accident, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams reached the spot. Three teams have been deployed from Gandhinagar, while three additional teams have also been sent from Vadodara. Rescue operations continue rapidly.
