New Delhi: Recent government statistics reveal that India's exports fell by 2.17% to reach USD 38.73 billion in May, while the trade deficit for the month was recorded at USD 21.88 billion.
In terms of imports, there was a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%, totaling USD 60.61 billion in May.
For the period of April to May in the fiscal year 2025-26, exports amounted to USD 77.19 billion, while imports increased to USD 125.52 billion, as per the released data.
