The prince shared a series of images from the event—held at Cowdray Park Polo Club in West Sussex—on Instagram, including a heartfelt snapshot of Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah embracing him. According to Flavors magazine, she dressed elegantly in jeans, a blue tweed blazer, and accessories from Loro Piana. In another photo, she is seen gently cradling the prince’s face in a tender moment.

The couple was joined at the event by other members of the Bruneian royal family, including Prince Mateen’s mother Mariam Abdul Aziz—the former wife of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, his sister, Princess Azemah, and her husband, Prince Bahar.

Since their 10-day wedding celebration in Bandar Seri Begawan in January last year, Prince Mateen and Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah have captured the public’s admiration with glimpses into their life together. In April, the prince shared a series of photos from their time in the U.K., featuring moments such as a sunset visit to London’s St James’s Palace, a football match in coordinated beige outfits, and a countryside escape complete with a Ferrari ride and muddy walks.

The couple also marked their first wedding anniversary with a romantic trip to Florence, Italy. A photo from the occasion, which was shared on the prince’s Instagram, showed them on a balcony overlooking the city’s iconic cathedral, with Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah resting her hand affectionately on her husband’s chest.

Now 34, Prince Mateen is a devoted polo player who has represented Brunei at the Southeast Asian Games in 2017 and 2019. He was named one of Asia’s most eligible bachelors by Flavors in 2016.

His wife, 31-year-old Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah, is an entrepreneur in the cultural tourism sector and a graduate of the University of Bath in the U.K. She has longstanding ties to Brunei’s royal family—her grandfather Pehin Dato Isa served as a government advisor during the 1960s and 1970s, while her brother Danial Deen Isa-Kalebic is a close friend of Prince Mateen.

Her sister-in-law Janetira Attaskulchai Deen is connected to Thailand’s Attaskulchai family, known for founding the Betagen yogurt brand.
