Will Prabhas starrer 'The Raja Saab' have a sequel? Director Maruthi clears the air

The teaser of Prabhas starrer the much-awaited horror comedy-drama film ' The Raja Saab ' was released today. Directed by renowned filmmaker Maruthi the teaser has been making rounds on the internet. Recently, the director shared his thoughts on the film being a standalone or expected to have any sequel .
Speaking at the teaser launch event, Maruthi responded candidly to queries about the possibility of a second part. The director mentioned that the story will be completed rather than left on a cliffhanger. At the same time, he hasn't ruled out the possibility of a sequel altogether as the team will decide upon the film's reception.
As reported by 123Telugu, the filmmaker said, "We'll think about the sequel only after completing the first installment. I won't deliberately leave the story incomplete just to set up a part two. Prabhas Garu and I are very clear on this."
The teaser, which runs for 2 minutes and 28 seconds, opens with visuals that immediately set the tone for a thrilling horror-comedy. The high-end VFX and sound design pull viewers into a ghostly world, with Prabhas making a dramatic entry into a haunted house. His character looks to be a light-hearted, happy-go-lucky young man deeply in love with Nidhhi Agerwal 's character. The teaser also includes supernatural chills with moments of quirky humour. The teaser also gives a playful shoutout to Shah Rukh Khan.
The film also stars Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar as the leading ladies. Bollywood's Sanjay Dutt also plays a key role.

The film is set for a grand theatrical release on December 5, 2025, in multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
