Shah Rukh Khan is all set to raise the bar yet again — this time with 'KING', a film that’s shaping up to be his most ambitious action project yet. Teaming up with director Siddharth Anand, the superstar is working on something “never seen before” in Indian cinema, with a fresh twist: his daughter Suhana Khan will make her big-screen debut alongside him.

What’s New in ‘King’?

After the blockbuster success of Pathaan and Jawan, SRK is stepping into the shoes of an assassin for King, but this time, the tone is grittier and more grounded. Sources reveal that Shah Rukh has undergone weeks of intensive training for the role, indicating a physically demanding performance that stands apart from his previous action roles.

Big Action Update: Prison Fight Sequence in Mehboob Studio

On Monday, a high-stakes action sequence began filming at Mehboob Studio in Bandra, which will continue till June 21. The scene is set in a foreign prison, where Shah Rukh’s character takes on a gang of criminals in brutal hand-to-hand combat.

  • About 200 stunt performers were involved in the shoot on June 15.

  • The sequence is said to be one of the most crucial in the film.

  • To raise the stakes, three international stunt experts have been brought in to choreograph the scene, ensuring a cinematic style on par with Hollywood thrillers.

‘King’ vs ‘Pathaan’ & ‘Jawan’: A Rawer Look

According to sources, Siddharth Anand is determined to present Shah Rukh in a “raw and real” avatar, contrasting sharply with the high-gloss spectacle of Pathaan and the stylized chaos of Jawan. The stunts are being crafted to look more grounded, intense, and emotionally charged.

Abhishek Bachchan Joins as the Villain

Adding to the excitement, Abhishek Bachchan is playing the main antagonist, described as a dangerously unpredictable character. Though he won’t appear in the prison sequence, his role is said to be pivotal to the storyline.

Why ‘King’ Is So Special
  • It marks Suhana Khan’s big-screen debut after her OTT appearance in The Archies.

  • It sees SRK collaborate again with Siddharth Anand, the mastermind behind War and Pathaan.

  • It promises a completely new style of action, moving away from VFX-heavy stunts to raw, visceral fight choreography.
