Immediate Action Required for Indian Nationals in Tehran

Tehran: On Tuesday, the Indian Embassy in Tehran urged all Indian citizens in the city to reach out immediately and share their whereabouts and contact information, as tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated significantly.

The embassy also recommended that Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) who are able to do so should relocate to safer areas outside of Tehran.

In a message posted on X, the Embassy stated, “All Indian Nationals who are in Tehran and not in touch with the Embassy are requested to contact the Embassy of India in Tehran immediately and provide their Location and Contact numbers. Kindly contact: +989010144557; +989128109115; +989128109109.”

This advisory comes as the conflict between Israel and Iran has entered its fifth day, with both sides exchanging strikes.

In a related development, US President Donald Trump cut short his participation at the G7 summit in Canada to return to Washington, where he cautioned Iranian citizens to evacuate Tehran, highlighting the peril faced by its 10 million inhabitants.
