Nothing confirms Phone 3 with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, launching July 1 in India

New Delhi: Nothing has yet officially stated that its next Phone 3 will be driven by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. On July 1, 2025, the smartphone will be released together with the first over-ear headphones by the company, called Headphone 1. It is a significant step in performance improvements, with the London-based tech company describing Phone 3 as its first true flagship smartphone.

CEO Carl Pei emphasised significant performance improvements over the Phone (2), such as a 36 percent increase in CPU, 88 percent improvement in GPU performance, and a 60 percent NPU improvement. Pei said it will be much snappier. He pointed out that the device is meant to be used daily and for long periods of time and that its objective is to offer a balanced, holistic experience.

Made in India, built for speed

The partner facility of Nothing in Chennai, India, will produce Phone 3. The phone will likely feature a major design update and possibly even launch without the glyph backplate iconic to the company.

Nothing Phone 3 display and battery (expected)

Leaks indicate a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a dynamic refresh rate up to 120 Hz and an apex brightness of 3,000 nits. The battery is likely to be 5,500 mAh, but the charging adapter might not be bundled with the smartphone.

Nothing Phone 3 camera and pricing (expected)

Nothing Phone 3 may include three rear cameras and one front camera. In India, the price is expected to be more than Rs 50,000 and will fall in the category of premium flagship.
