If you grew up in the 90s you must have heard and hummed this popular song many times: Pehli pehli baar mohabbat ki hai kuch na samajh mein aaye main kya karun? The actress featured in the song is Priya Gill. She became an overnight star after playing the role of Aarti in the 1999 film Sirf Tum. Both the film and its songs were widely appreciated. After the success of Sirf Tum it seemed Priya Gill was on her way to becoming a major Bollywood heroine - but soon after she suddenly disappeared from the glamorous world.
Priya Gill was known for her beauty and in 1995 she participated in Femina Miss India winning the title of Femina Miss India International. She also went on to represent India at the Miss International pageant. Following that she pursued a career in Bollywood.
Priya Gill made her film debut in 1996 with Tere Mere Sapne opposite Chandrachur Singh. After that she was offered Sirf Tum. In this 1999 film she starred alongside Sanjay Kapoor with Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen appearing in cameo roles. The film was a major success and earned Priya Gill the title of the Sirf Tum girl. Audiences appreciated her simple and graceful on-screen presence.
After this film she was cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film Josh. In this film SRK and Aishwarya played the roles of brother and sister.
Josh was also a hit but Priya Gills career slowly started going downhill. Priya started getting side roles instead of lead roles. She also worked in a Bhojpuri film and later moved away from the film world. The film Bhairavi released in 2006 was Priya Gills last film.

Priya Gill got married and settled in Denmark away from showbiz and is enjoying her married life. She is also not active on social media. . In 2015 she attended an OROP(One Rank One Pension) rally related to Ex-Army services in Mumbai. Then around a year or two ago a fan spotted her in Dubai. She was there with her husband.
