Emma Raducanu's stalker has been blocked from buying Wimbledon tickets by the All England Club. The British No.1 was forced to hide in tears behind the umpire's chair during a match in Dubai back in February when a "fixated" admirer was ejected from the venue.

That was the fourth consecutive event after Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, that the individual had been present during Raducanu's matches. The day before the incident in Dubai, he even confronted her in a café.

Dubai police laid down a restraining order against the stalker, with his details distributed to global tennis tournaments.

Following the scare in Dubai, the vigilant All England Club identified the man through their public ballot check and scratched his application from the list. While the Wimbledon draw closed doors last year, refunds could still lead to ticket redistribution right until The Championships commence on June 30, reports .

Raducanu, who clinched the US Open crown has also had to fend off another ardent fan; he was slapped with a five-year restraining after stealing possessions from her family home in Bromley. The star confessed just last week to feeling "wary" stepping outside.

Addressing security concerns at the recent Spring Conference, All England Club CEO Sally Bolton assured a beef-up in safety measures in light of these episodes.

Meanwhile, Britain's No. 2, Katie Boulter, has echoed feelings of vulnerability, divulging that she too has encountered ominous

Bolton has emphasised the paramount importance of player safety, stating: "The safety and wellbeing of all of the players is our absolute top priority. I think the recent incidents coming to light certainly recognise the concern generated by that."

"But we have in place - and have had for many years - processes for ensuring the safety of our players. And that is in liaison with law enforcement agencies, specialist security teams and we liaise with both tours. And that is year round not just in preparation for The Championships.

"We are putting in place measures that are reflective of the threat and risk profile at the time. It is absolutely a top priority for us."

Raducanu has detailed how she now feels after her ordeal earlier this year. "It was difficult,” she told Sport. "It was emphasised by the fact I didn’t necessarily feel certain or comfortable in my own set-up and team so it just added to the anxious feeling.

"I’m obviously wary when I go out. I try not to be careless about it because you only realise how much of a problem it is when you’re in that situation and I don’t necessarily want to be in that situation again.

"Off the court right now, I feel good, I feel pretty settled. I feel like I have good people around me and anything that was negative, I kind of brush it off as much as I can."
