US pop icon Ariana Grande has announced the tragic death of her beloved grandmother, Marjorie Grande, who was affectionately known as Nonna to the singer and her brother Frankie Grande. She passed away at the age of 99 years old. Informing her 375 million Instagram followers about the heartbreaking news, the Wicked actress reposted a statement on her story from her mother, Joan Grande, announcing Marjorie's death.

It read: "We are devastated to share that the beloved matriarch of our family has passed away. Marjorie (Nonna) Grande passed away peacefully in her home and was surrounded by family and loved ones for every moment of her last few weeks. "We thank you for your love, support, and for respecting our privacy as we grieve and celebrate her beautiful, extraordinary life," Ariana and her family signed.
