To ensure the participation of all eligible voters in this important democratic process, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Himanshu Jain has declared a public holiday in the district.

According to this order, leave will be given in government offices, private companies, schools, colleges, shops, factories and other institutions, so that all voters can exercise their franchise. This leave will be paid.

Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain has clarified that if an employer does not give leave to their employee or cuts the salary despite giving leave, it will be considered a violation of the election law. If an employee is denied leave by his institution or his salary is cut, he can directly complain to the Election Department or the District Deputy Commissioner’s office. The administration has also said that prompt action will be taken in such cases so that no citizen is deprived of their right to vote.
