New Delhi. Yograj Singh, father of former Indian cricket team star Yuvraj Singh, has shocked the whole world with another statement. He has given the reason for the frequent injuries of India’s veteran fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and the reason he has given the reason that he has given rise to the new debate. Yograj said that gym may be a reason for Bumrah’s injury. Yograj recently said that cricketers do not need to go to the gym to maintain their fitness, but should insist on making themselves flexible. Bumrah’s charge management has become a major topic of discussion last year. The BCCI has also made it clear that it will not play all five Test matches against England. Yograj said that cricketers do not need to do body building. He also gave the example of Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami to prove his statement.
Yograj said, ‘Bumrah is repeatedly injured. He has been injured four times. Do you know what is the reason for this? The gym is the reason. Other cricketers are also. Mohammed Shami… Hardik Pandya. You do not need to do body building. In the old days, bowlers like Michael Holding of West Indies were quite flexible. Viv Richards did not go to the gym till the age of 35.
Yograj said that cricketers should go to the gym only when they turn 35-36 years old and if they continue to work hard at the beginning of their career, then their muscles can be stiff. He said, ‘I am surprised that cricketers go to the gym. The gym occurs when you are 35-36 years old. Otherwise it can harm your muscles. Everyone should know what he is doing. You have to strengthen yourself when you become 36-37 years old and your body is weak. Then I can understand that it is right to work gym. ‘
Yograj said, ‘But today the youth are going to the gym. This is why injuries occur more. I can say that cases of injury were zero about 30-40 years ago. Because in cricket you need a very flexible, gymnast -like body. Exercise according to your body weight such as bridge-up, push-up, seet-up and core, but please stop going to the gym of cricketers for God. ‘
