Every time a big-budget Bollywood movie is made it comes with a lot of expectations to hit the big screens with a boom and generate good revenue. However in some cases the opposite happens and despite being made on a big budget with a famous cast the movie fails to perform well. Today we will discuss one such movie which was made for Rs 80 crore; however it was unable to generate the desired revenue. The movie was released in 2009 and despite expectations of being a hit this film turned out to be the biggest disaster in Bollywood. It featured actors like Akshay Kumar Sanjay Dutt Zayed Khan and more. Still the movie couldn’t hold the audience till the end. The film we are talking about is none other than Blue. Directed by Anthony D’Souza Blue had a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar Lara Dutta Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan. The film was said to be one of the biggest projects of Akshay Kumar’s career. After the trailer was launched in 2009 it created massive buzz among fans. However when the movie finally made it to the big screens it was not liked by the audience. The movie was released almost 15 years ago and back then the budget of the film was Rs 80 crore which was considered huge. However as per reports Blue did a business of only Rs 63 crore worldwide. Blue turned out to be the biggest box office flop of 2009 adding another failure to the careers of Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt. Not just that it also ended Zayed Khan’s career. His subsequent films also did not work and since then he has been away from the big screen.
