According to China Pressspeaking on a YouTube talk show hosted by Hong Kong presenter Samson Yeung, Wong shared that she immigrated to Canada 10 years ago. After spending her first three years unemployed, she decided to pursue a new path following friends’ suggestion and earned a maternity caregiver certification.
Since then, Wong has cared for around 40 newborns. Her duties include preparing meals, supporting postpartum recovery, sterilizing baby items, assisting mothers with breast pumping, and changing diapers. She said the work brings her great joy, and what delights her most is when former clients remember her and occasionally send photos of their babies.
Outside her caregiving duties, Wong also takes part in performances with a local drama troupe. She noted that she is divorced and currently lives with her three children.
Now 58, Wong joined the entertainment industry in the late 1980s. She is best known for her appearances in films such as “Fatal Assignment,” “Man on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown,” and Hong Kong filmmaker Stephen Chow’s “Flirting Scholar.”
