By Jitendra Jangid- Friends, the wait of Rajasthanis for monsoon is over as the monsoon has entered from the west, due to which the Meteorological Department has indicated that there may be heavy rain in the southwest in the next 1-2 days. This progress is expected to provide relief from the scorching heat and boost agricultural activities across the state, let's know the weather condition
The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning for several divisions:
Kota
Udaipur
Bharatpur
Ajmer
Jaipur
These areas may receive heavy rains, thunderstorms and strong winds in the coming hours.
Rain forecast and weather forecast
Light to moderate rain is expected in Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions.
This spell of rain is likely to continue till June 23, which will provide relief from the heat and benefit the farmers.
An orange alert has been issued for the next 3 hours in districts like Dausa, Karauli, Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Jalore, Nagaur and Sirohi.
Thunderstorms, lightning and winds with speeds of 40-50 kmph are likely in these areas, while gusts up to 80 kmph are expected in some areas.
Monsoon progress across India
The southwest monsoon has already advanced into Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand, Odisha and parts of West Bengal.
The northern limit of monsoon is currently passing through Indore, Panchmarhi, Mandla, Ambikapur, Hazaribagh and Supaul.
Low pressure systems strengthened monsoon movement
A low pressure area lies over Gangetic coastal West Bengal and southern Bangladesh, which is expected to move northwestwards within 24 hours.
Another low pressure system is active over Gujarat, which is pushing the monsoon towards southern Rajasthan, accelerating its arrival.
