Now recently it has been learned that Cyber Attack has taken place on car sharing platform Zoomcar and the company itself has confirmed this. Zoomkar has informed US Securities and Exchange Commission that hackers have stolen personal data by accessing the company’s information system.
According to the information given to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, data of at least 84 lakh people has been stolen in this cyber attack. The company said that some employees got an email in which data access has been claimed by the hacker. Zoomcar said in the filing, “On finding out the data breech, the Inspector Response Plan was immediately activated without delay.” After the data breech, the company has now strengthened the security of the internal network and the cloud even more, as well as the monitoring of the system. The company is also contacting third party cyber security experts to investigate this matter. At present, it is not clear whether the company has informed the affected users about this or not. Zoomkar also said that data violation has not affected the company’s operation.
Zoomcar started in 2013, through this platform, people can hire the vehicle according to monthly, weekly, daily and per hour. In 2023, the company merged with an American Blanc-Czech firm called Innovative International Aquishan Corp and became a US Listid Public Company registered in Delaware.
