Post the massive dip faced by Sikandar, Salman Khan is bracing hard for his new project. The megastar is working on a raw patriotic military action film helmed by Apoorva Lakhia of Shootout At Lokhandwala fame. The makers have finalised their female lead.

Chitrangda Singh to be the face

According to India Today, Chitrangda Singh will appear alongside Salman Khan marking their maiden collaboration. The actor received acclaim for her performance in Sudhir Mishra’s Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. She was seen in Akshay Kumar’s Desi Boyz and shot to fame with the item number Aao Raja in Gabbar is Back.

As per the reports, the new military drama is based on the Galwan valley chapter of the novel, India’s Most Fearless 3, written by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. Salman Khan will appear in the garb of Colonel B. Santosh Babu, who channeled the 16 Bihar regiment during the scuffle with Chinese troops at Galwan Valley back in 2020.

Salman Khan-starrer to commence filming in July 2025

The untitled film marks the first ever project featuring a real-life character for Salman Khan. He will be seen as a rigid  army officer. Previously, he was seen playing the role of a military officer in Heroes and Jai Ho; but for a brisk span

According to Pinkvilla, the principal photography will start from July 2025, encompassing over a period of 70 days, until the estimated October 2025. Khan is now going through extensive training to fit the role.

Chitrangda Singh recently appeared in housefull 5, khakee: the bengal chapter, and khel khel mein.
