The much-acclaimed film Shaitan, featuring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyotika, and Janki Bodiwala, is set to have a sequel. Following its remarkable success in 2024, both critically and commercially, Ajay Devgn is currently engaged in developing the follow-up, with the script nearing finalization.

As reported by a local media outlet, Devgn has two potential narratives for Shaitan 2. One is an original concept, while the other is an adaptation of Vash Level 2. For context, Shaitan is based on the well-known Gujarati film 'Vash'. A source revealed that 'Vash Level 2' picks up 12 years after the original, focusing on the protagonist's realization that a malevolent force still lingers around his daughter.

In contrast to Vash, where the protagonist suffers the loss of his wife and son, Shaitan concluded on a positive note, with Ajay's character rescuing his daughter and reuniting with his family. Due to the differing endings, the creators of Shaitan opted to craft an original storyline for the sequel while maintaining the foundational backstory.

R Madhavan, Jyotika, and Janki Bodiwala are expected to reprise their roles in the upcoming sequel.

On another note, Ajay Devgn is also gearing up for Golmaal 5, which is anticipated to commence filming in February or March 2026. A source indicated that a new team of writers is currently working on the script, which is expected to be finalized by September 2025, including dialogue refinement.

The sequel will likely bring back its beloved ensemble cast, including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever, among others.

Ajay Devgn has a busy schedule ahead, with several films lined up, including De De Pyaar De 2, Drishyam 3, Son of Sardaar 2, and Dhamaal 4.
